Neolithic Stepping Stones

This time lapse video of an excavation of a site in the Outer Hebrides has me thinking about ways to document and share remote fieldwork.  We are going to be heading out in about a month for 6 weeks of fieldwork in several areas of the Seward Peninsula.  I am going to give video documentation a try for the first time as a supplement to note taking.  In addition, I think I will  challenge the graduate students to put together some video clips that capture the location and what our work is like on a daily basis.

More about the Neolithic Stepping Stones project here, including additional videos.  Very interesting work on the transition to farming in Britain and Ireland.
